Unbridled Luxury Residence
Located in Mahalakshmi Layout, Bengaluru, this luxury residence is designed on a rectangular, west-facing site of 325 sq.m. Focusing on practicality, utmost importance was given to the application of principles of vastu and fulfilling the needs of the client. This project was an exploration of form and volume through a simple plan enabling us to fabricate seamlessly connected spaces rendering visual connectivity while also maintaining privacy.
As per the client’s requirements, this 5 BHK residence is equipped with an office space, swimming pool and barbeque, gym, home theatre, private terrace garden and a small library. The segregation of spaces was strategically planned through division of floors into private and public.
An L-shaped plan in the ground floor allowed for ample parking space in the south east corner. Strictly adhering to vastu principles, the private office space and the swimming pool with barbeque were provided in the south west and north east corners respectively. Services and vertical circulation were placed along the southern side reinforcing good connectivity among the various spaces. In the first floor, consisting of public spaces, the double-heighted living room was created as a result of playing with volumes. An emphasising element of a contrast colour was introduced in the living room wall complimenting the double height feature. A unique pooja
room surrounded by a body of water on three sides creates a sense of serenity and calmness. The kitchen and guest room are located on the south east and south west corners respectively guided by vastu. The second floor houses three bedrooms with a private terrace garden rendering the entire floor as a private space. The third floor comprises a gym, home theatre and a bedroom.
A minimalistic palette with a contemporary ensemble is used in the interiors unifying the entire residence. The exterior facade of the house is dynamic in nature highlighting a strong sense of identity in the residential neighbourhood
